Client: Avire (USA)
Avire, a renowned company specializing in delivering solutions for the elevator industry, offers innovative products related to both safety and communication in elevators. They are pioneers in the production of light curtains, emergency telephones, displays, and connectivity solutions in elevator systems. Our team was responsible for creating a new version of the SmartView application, improving the client’s web application in terms of security and new functionalities, and migrating it to a cloud environment.
Project Objective:
The client requested bug fixes, security enhancements, and the release of a new version of the SmartView application. Additional tasks emerged during the project, such as a complete redesign of the application and the addition of new features aimed at facilitating the management of devices installed in elevators.
Solution Delivered:
Our team gained access to the existing SmartView web application, the database structure, and the installer’s application. We enhanced the application’s security and added extra functionalities, followed by the migration to a cloud environment. We also introduced software development automation and conducted static analysis of the application’s source code. As a result, a completely new application design was created, meeting the latest standards and increasing its attractiveness to users.
Project Products:
SmartView consists of several components that form a comprehensive communication solution for elevators. The main components include:
- SmartView Controller: A device installed in the elevator that serves as a central communication hub. It receives and displays messages from the web application and allows interaction with trapped individuals through “yes” and “no” buttons.
- Camera: Mounted in the elevator, it enables real-time monitoring and provides visual information for emergency services.
- Display: Used to show messages sent by the web application, enabling interaction with trapped individuals.
- “YES” and “NO” Buttons: Enable trapped individuals to respond to messages displayed by the web application.
- Web Application: The central control system that allows emergency services to communicate with individuals trapped in the elevator through the display and interaction via “yes” and “no” buttons.

Benefits of the solution:
- Safety: Penetration tests confirmed that the SmartView application is secure and meets the highest standards. Users can trust that their data is protected.
- Refreshed Design: Thanks to a completely new design, the SmartView application is visually appealing and user-friendly. The new aesthetics capture attention and encourage the use of the solution.
- New Functionalities: The added features enhance data readability and facilitate user work. They make managing devices installed in elevators even easier and more efficient.
Through collaboration with Euvic, Avire has gained a new version of the SmartView application, providing security, a modern look, and expanded functionalities. It is a comprehensive solution enabling effective communication between emergency services and individuals trapped in elevators.
