The retail trade is undergoing rapid digitization and is one of those industries that are especially eager to implement new technologies. In 2019, the value of the Polish e-commerce market was 50 billion PLN. The dynamically changing needs, expectations, and habits of consumers and the consequent shopping model turn out to be a real opportunity for the development of trade, especially online.
One platform – many possibilities
The customers who cooperate with us are perfectly aware of this. We helped a Polish customer from the culture and entertainment sector with our knowledge and skills by creating a system that combines three separate applications – an online store, a mobile application, and an information portal.
Online store – enables online ticket sales for various types of events. Thanks to it, each user can check the availability of desired seats in real-time and then make a ticket purchase. The system automatically records this information and passes it on to other users, blocking the possibility of choosing seats that are already booked. What is more, thanks to this e-commerce platform, the event organizer gets access to information such as the number of booked, and sold tickets and payment status. The high efficiency of the system allows to handle and manage a large number of users at the same time and, the use of Azure cloud allows to monitor the service on an ongoing basis and to dynamically increase resources in proportion to the current demand.
Mobile application– allows for an easy rating of recommended events, and then, by using an algorithm that learns from previous choices, recommends events that may be interesting for the user. By using geolocation, the application also makes it easy to find events taking place in the geographical area where the user is currently staying.
Information portal – is an advanced tool that shows information about upcoming cultural events and additionally allows the client to publish their content. Its full integration with the online store and mobile application enables easy access to the information published here and publishing and updating it also in these two other channels.
Thanks to the cooperation with us, our e-commerce client received a fully functional system that integrates an online store, mobile application, and information portal. It enables:
An easy and quick overview of cultural and entertainment events, with the possibility of searching for events taking place nearby,
Buying tickets for selected events (and a wide range of payment methods),
Using advanced filtering methods to find the best match,
Managing high traffic and handling multiple transactions at the same time.
It is a tool made for modern consumers, which allows not only to automate and optimize the process of Internet sales, but, above all, to increase the reported profits.
