Everyone deserves a bright future
This is why we have chosen to partner with Star for Life.
Star for Life is a non-profit organization that works with schoolchildren in southern Africa. Through a unique educational program, their coaches strengthen students' self-esteem and motivate them to invest in their education and make wise life decisions. This makes it easier for them to build a better future and, as adults, contribute to a more equal, fair, and sustainable society. They are currently present in 120 schools in South Africa, Namibia, and Tanzania, and to date, more than 450,000 students have benefited from the Star for Life methodology.
Daughters of Africa - Girls Club
An initiative focusing on the situation of girls and young women in southern Africa. They are born and live with injustice and difficult conditions. They are particularly affected by a complex combination of discrimination, lack of knowledge, prejudice, and poverty. Furthermore, there are no natural forums for girls and women to exchange thoughts and ideas about their vulnerable situation.
The club we support
Located at a school called Nkanyiso High School. The school is located in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. A hard-hit area that is still suffering from the aftermath of the HIV/AIDS outbreak in the early 2000s. Star for Life began its work in this area in 2005. Thirty girls are recruited for each round. After eight months, new girls are recruited and the cycle begins again.
