Complex Domains and the Universal Framework Fallacy (Upstream vs. Downstream)

Applying the same solutions acrossdifferent organizations often fails because every company functions as a unique ecosystem.

- Upstream: The discovery phase, including ideation, requirements gathering, data analysis, and user research. Critical product decisions are made here, directly influencing business outcomes.
- Downstream: The execution phase, covering software development, testing, deployment, and operational delivery.
Successful collaboration with a technology partner requires active client involvement and clear ownership across both domains.
