The End of Easy Money, the Beginning of ROI Dictatorship
For years, the Swedish IT market was synonymous with continuous growth. However, 2024–2025 brought a brutal correction. According to 2026 market data, growth in the Nordic IT services sector stabilized at 2.6%–3.9% CAGR (Technavio, 2026), significantly lower than during the previous decade.

For executive teams, this means moving from a strategy of “let’s build because we need to digitize” to “let’s build what delivers measurable business value.” Companies such as Klarna and Spotify, which untilrecently were aggressively expanding headcount, are now optimizing their structures, looking for a direct link between every line of code and financial performance (EBITDA).
