E-commerce remains the focus of Euvic. Mobile apps are an integral part of this industry, and users are becoming more demanding and looking for new, improved and user-friendly solutions.
Project goal
Our Swedish Foodrunners customer is the initiator of a mobile app that simplifies food shopping.
The client already had a first version of the app in place but needed to implement the shopping process and add additional functionality, such as recipes or assigning products to keywords. In addition, he wanted to refresh the app’s appearance. It was also necessary to make extensive process improvements and eliminate bugs.
Solution delivered
When implementing the new functionality, our specialists had to face the existing infrastructure. The quality of the code causing frequent needs for rebuilding was also a challenge. At the same time, great emphasis was placed on providing a completely new and better experience on the user side.
Project products
The result is an improved, well-functioning and visually appealing app.
By adding new features, users can not only easily compare the prices in their shopping cart with the prices of nearby stores or available online vendors, but also shop directly in the app.
An interesting solution called “Food Genius” has also been introduced, where a specific product is quickly searched for and suggested by keywords.
In addition, a popular search engine for discounted products or special offers in certain stores has been added.

Benefits of the solution:

visually attractive and clear interface

simple price comparisons and selection of the way of shopping

new functionalities, such as payment for purchases, quick search by keywords, recipes with the ability to add products to the shopping cart
The new version of the app has gained more than twice as many users as the previous one. As Foodrunners specialists have calculated, users can save between 20-50% on grocery shopping annually thanks to active selection.
At the same time, which is very important for our client – by increasing its visibility and the number of users, the company has attracted new investors. The funds raised also made it possible to increase the development team working on the app.
As Andreas Johansson, founder of Foodrunners put it:
“Thanks to Euvic, we were able to turn this unique idea into a viable product. The great commitment of both teams has made it possible to successfully go this long way to change the world of grocery shopping.”
