Open Life Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Życie S.A. is a Polish insurance provider specializing in life insurance products and investment capital funds. The company focuses on a modern and transparent approach to personal finance, offering clients flexible solutions and clear communication.

Challenge_

Open Life is committed to ensuring that the solutions it provides meet market demands. Therefore, it is continuously looking for ways to improve customer service and comply with regulatory and legal requirements, while also guaranteeing application security requirements.

Given our longstanding cooperation, the client approached us to implement a modern solution for the login process to the Open Life web application.

The goal of the project was to expand the application with an additional method of user identity verification and to eliminate the problem of relying on a single form of identity confirmation, namely:

  • logging into the application: username/password
  • authorizing changes to accounts/policies: SMS/email code

 

We faced the challenge of implementing an alternative, secure method of user identity verification. Together with the client, we decided to integrate with the mojeID service, which operates similarly to the Polish Trusted Profile.

Delivered work_

  1. Adapting the Open Life application
    The existing application was modified in line with business requirements related to the introduction of the new identity verification method.
  2. Changes
    Necessary changes were made to existing functionalities.
  3. New Module
    A new module was created according to the client’s guidelines.
  4. Integration
    Integration of the Open Life system with the mojeID service was carried out.
  5. Testing
    Integration of the Open Life system with the mojeID service was carried out.
  6. Deployment
    Production deployment was completed.

Thanks to the implementation of the mojeID service, the client achieved the following benefits:

  1. Simplified login process
    Users can now log in to the Open Life application using their bank credentials, which significantly simplifies and accelerates the login process. This solution also made the process of authorizing changes to accounts and policies much easier.
  2. Increased security
    Identity verification via banks ensures a high level of security, eliminating risks associated with traditional passwords and usernames.
  3. Improved user experience
    The new authorization method makes managing accounts and policies easier, especially in cases when users forget their passwords or login credentials.

 

The integration of the Open Life system with the mojeID service was a key step towards improving user experience and enhancing security. Thanks to this solution, the client not only streamlined the login process but also strengthened its position as an innovative, customer-focused insurance provider.
