When U Buy is a Polish platform enabling online shopping management in one place. The application aggregates order and return statuses from various online stores, allowing users to conveniently track all shipments without having to log in to individual shops.
Our role in the project_
The Euvic team was invited as a strategic partner to conduct a comprehensive Product Strategy Discovery workshop for When U Buy. Our task was to help the client’s team organize the product vision, verify development directions, and build a concrete action strategy, with respect for the team’s previous work and with the product’s future in mind.
Challenge_
The When U Buy team has successfully launched an MVP and built strong technological foundations. However, the time came to address questions about the next direction: how to smartly develop the product while maintaining its simplicity and scalability, and simultaneously increasing the user base?
That’s when the team decided to invite Euvic Team as a partner and go through a Product Strategy Discovery workshop, to verify the vision, prioritize effectively, and build a concrete action strategy.
Together, we examined the ideas and future vision, aiming to organize the puzzle pieces and better understand where When U Buy is headed.
When U Buy has an ambitious vision: to become for shopping what BLIK became for payment – a simple, intuitive, and ubiquitous tool that’s always at hand… simply helps. The app already integrates with 10 popular e-commerce platforms (including Allegro, H&M, AliExpress, Zalando), tracks shipments, reminds about returns, and organizes post-purchase daily life.
We asked ourselves several key questions:
- What direction to take in the coming months?
- How to prepare for growth – including international markets?
- What can be simplified in onboarding to make it even smoother?
- How to better communicate the app’s value to users and partners?
This helped us identify the biggest challenges, develop a shared goal vision, and make decisions that determined specific solutions.
Our task was to help organize this puzzle, respecting the team’s previous work and with the product’s future in mind. Together, we went through a process designed not only to “organize” but primarily to unlock the product’s and team’s potential.
Workfkow i.e. one day that made a difference. _
The Product Strategy Discovery workshop with the When U Buy team lasted just one day, but was designed to extract maximum strategic insights.
Thanks to a solid structure, pre-prepared materials (IDI research, market and competitor analysis, client interview), and excellent participant engagement, we went from a challenge map to a prioritized list of concrete solutions in just a few hours.
- Action direction selection – we confronted visions and goals to select one key direction from a wide range of ideas
- When U Buy identity – we defined When U Buy identity as an intelligent shopping assistant, a purchase management hub that “turns off risk” and restores user control.
- User needs analysis – we dove into user needs, analyzing qualitative interview data to uncover strengths and weaknesses of the current solution.
- User journey map – we analyzed the entire user journey, from first brand contact, through installation and onboarding, to using key features, looking for optimization opportunities.
- Inspirations – we examined competitive solutions to understand what works elsewhere and where inspiration lies.
- First version backlog – based on this, we created the first backlog version – realistic, data-driven, based on insights and team capabilities
Solution_
The Product Strategy Discovery workshop gave the When U Buy team a chance to look at the product and development directions from a fresh perspective. Together, we examined what already works and what deserves strengthening. The result? A clearly outlined vision, shared understanding of the action direction, concrete recommendations, and a further development plan.
01 Clear identity and shared vision
From many good ideas, we selected one message that became a compass for future decisions: When U Buy is the post-purchase management center. Simple like BLIK. Essential like a package reminder. This helped create a unified narrative and provided clarity on the product’s role in users’ lives.
02 Consistent language and compelling communication
We started with a simple question: how to talk about the product so people really want to listen? The answer was value-based language – clear, honest, and close to everyday experience. Instead of focusing on technical details, we emphasized messaging that builds relationships. This makes our communication resonate not only with users but also builds partner trust.
03 Priorities aligned with growth pace
Together, we identified areas to develop first – not just because they’re important, but because they can deliver quick, measurable impact. Push notifications, simplified onboarding, clear value proposition, these are foundations supporting scaling.
04 Action-ready strategy
The team ended the workshop with an organized action plan for the coming months and a list of hypotheses to test. No guesswork. Clear direction.
Summary_
The Product Strategy Discovery workshop transformed When U Buy’s ambitious vision into a concrete, actionable plan. During one workshop day, supported by user research and competitive analysis, the team gained a clear product identity, cohesive communication, and organized development priorities. The key to success was combining reliable data with team engagement and a structured strategic process. The When U Buy team now has not only a vision, but also concrete tools for further, independent product development in the Polish and international markets.
Future steps_
The When U Buy team now has a clearly defined shared product vision, better understands their users’ needs, and possesses a full range of recommendations, insights, and guidelines that enable efficient and consistent action. Ahead of them – next stages of product validation and development. And us? We’re proud to have accompanied them in this process.
